I began gardening when I bought my first house in July of 2015. My childhood best friend's mother, a master gardener herself, gave me 16 exotic plants as housewarming gifts. I drove them from Florida to my home in Texas and ultimately killed nine of them. After this devastating loss, I decided I wanted to learn as much as I could about caring for plants. I now have between 500 and 600 plants, and love sharing what I have learned with others.

Behind the Scenes
After Marcus and I launched Choice Forward in 2018, I began to scrutinize our personal social media. Marcus's Instagram handle was a jumble of numbers and letters, and his (small) feed was full of nature and garden pictures. I said to him, "What do you think about changing your handle to @garden_marcus?"
In 2019, we started making videos starring Marcus in his garden, and were met with an incredible response. I film & edit the Garden Marcus videos, and could not be having more fun!
